The World Barista Championship (WBC) is an international coffee competition that focuses on "promoting excellence in coffee, advancing the barista profession, and engaging a worldwide audience with an annual championship event that serves as the culmination of local and regional events around the globe."

Each competitor will be preparing 4 espressos, 4 cappuccinos, and 4 signature drinks in a performance within 15 minutes. The 2011 World Barista Championship will have 53 competitors each serving a different coffee and story to judges.
